70 DAYS OF PRAYER for our Nation, Community and Congregation
Calvary Lutheran Church is inviting everyone to participate in a season of prayer and fasting: 70 Days of Prayer for our Nation, Community and Congregation. This season of prayer will include several ways and opportunities to pray individually and together for God’s blessings and revival for our nation, community, and our congregation.
Our Times of Seeking God Include:
Twice Daily Prayer
Members are asked to pray twice daily for 3 to 5 minutes. The morning prayer focuses on national and community needs. The evening prayer addresses the needs of Calvary.
Monthly Prayer Meeting on the First Sunday of the Month
Starting Sunday, July 3rd from 6 to 7 p.m., the evening begins with a few praise songs and continues with organized topics to pray for as a group. There also will be the opportunity for personal ministry at the altar.
Commuter Prayer Time
Inviting anyone who can join us in prayer on Wednesday mornings, 6:30-7:15 a.m. at Calvary. Prayer time will be led by pastor or by an elder. Feel free to leave as needed.
Friday Fasting
Members are asked to fast for one or two meals on Fridays. We recognize that, for medical reasons, some are not able to fast. You are encouraged to be in prayer with us throughout the day.
Weekly Prayer Guide
A prayer guide based on the topic for the week will be provided by each Friday for the coming week. The guide will include one or more relevant passages of scripture and a number of themes/specific directions for prayer.
Request Other Bible Studies to dedicate more time to pray for the topic of the week.
