Welcome to Calvary Lutheran (The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod)!

Please join us this Sunday morning! Our Sunday service is held at 10:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary. For anyone who cannot attend service in person, services are live streamed on our YouTube channel, Calvary Lutheran Chs, during worship time.  Past services are available on the Sermons page and on YouTube.

Communion Statement

As we come to the Lord’s Table, we believe in the real presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Communion. In this sacrament, we receive not just bread and wine, but the true body and blood of Christ, given and shed for the forgiveness of sins. This is the promise that Christ Himself has given to us, as He instituted the sacrament on the night of His betrayal (Matthew 26:26-28; Mark 14:22-24; Luke 22:19-20).

The Apostle Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 11:23-29 that we should examine ourselves before partaking of the Lord’s Supper, recognizing that it is a holy and sacred act. We come with reverence and repentance, trusting in God’s grace to forgive our sins. We also come in faith, receiving the benefits of this sacrament with thanksgiving and joy, knowing that through it, we are strengthened in our walk with Christ.

The Small Catechism teaches that the Lord’s Supper is a “sacrament of the altar” where Christ gives His true body and blood “for the forgiveness of sins, life, and salvation.” It is a gift of grace that strengthens our faith and unites us with Christ and with one another in the body of believers.

Therefore, we invite all those who are baptized, repentant of their sins, and believe in the true presence of Christ in the Lord’s Supper to partake of this holy sacrament. If you are uncertain or not yet ready to receive, we encourage you to speak with the pastor for guidance.
